FEM launches convenient countertop nugget ice dispenser from Manitowoc Ice
Operators are using more and more ice, but have less and less room to fit in an icemaker. For many sites, a perfect solution will be the Countertop Nugget Icemaker and Dispenser now available from FEM. Making up to 88kg of ice per day, the new unit is compact, convenient and a breeze to use. Manufactured by Manitowoc Ice, the dispenser is ideal for both self-serve and staff-serve, and can easily be positioned in even the tightest of spaces.
The new icemaker offers hassle-free ice dispensing. The operator simply places a cup under the chute and presses the button to activate the dispense. The icemaker’s connections are hidden out of sight and the attractive, classic design makes it ideal for front-of-house. It’s also easy to keep the machine looking good, with its wipe-clean stainless steel front panel and removable water drip basin.
Despite its small size – the icemaker measures just 396mm wide by 708mm deep and 871mm high – it is not only capable of producing 88kg of nugget ice per 24 hours, but also features a 5kg ice storage bin. This ensures there is plenty of ice on demand, even during peak business periods.
The Countertop Nugget Icemaker and Dispenser is designed for a wide variety of hospitality venues, ranging from coffee shops and cafes to self-serve in, for example, leisure centres and motorway service areas. Nugget ice is equally suited to fast cooling of carbonated beverages and for use in blended drinks such as smoothies, as it is quick to blend. Manitowoc nugget ice is a highly effective chiller and is slow to dilute, since it has an excellent ice-to-water ratio.
