Cambro invests in UK and Irish markets

Dealer support team expands as sales grow

Cambro has expanded its UK and Ireland dealer support team.  The USA manufacturer believes that there is significant potential for growth in the market, not only for its core product ranges of food transport systems, food storage systems, trays and shelving, but also for its innovative solutions such as the Camrack series of warewashing racks.

The UK and Ireland team now comprises four Cambro specialists, who are supported from the company’s European office in Stuttgart.  Nick James looks after the UK South region and is responsible for key account development, while Laura Hariani is responsible for the UK North and focuses on developing sales in the public sector.  Nick Garner, who is director of sales for Northern Europe and Africa, works with some key UK customers.  Sales manager for the UK and Ireland is Luke Carman who, as well as managing the team, works strategically with Cambro’s national accounts.

“All Cambro sales are via our dealer network, we now have the right people in place to deliver the support they need,” says Luke.  “While Brexit has to be a factor in any investment at the moment, Cambro is very much committed to the UK and Irish markets and is putting every effort into building on current success by continuing to develop sales here.”

While Cambro’s core products are well established, Carman says that many dealers are less aware of the brand’s specialist lines.  “A key task for the team is to educate the market about the potential these products have,” he says.  As an example, recently a dealer secured a £100,000+ order for Cambro’s Camracks for a large conference and event centre.  “The customer was persuaded by the Camrack’s clever design, which enhances hygiene and protects glassware.”
