Win the Combi Steamer of the Future – Rational at Restaurant 2013

SelfCookingCenter® whitefficiency® takes dynamic approach to ease of use

Stand F20, The Restaurant Show, Earls Court 2, London, 7-9 October 2013

Rational's new control panel learns how the chef prefers to cookRational is part of an exciting stand showing some of the leading technology that will make up the kitchen of the future.  Alongside the SelfCookingCenter whitefficiency, the market’s most advanced combi steamer, are ‘future kitchen’ products from Adande Refrigeration, MCS Induction and Charvet.

Visitors to the Rational stand will be able to find out how to enter a competition to win a SelfCookingCenter whitefficiency worth £8,000.  The competition is part of Rational’s 40th anniversary celebrations.

The stand will highlight the new technologies Rational has developed for the latest version of its SelfCookingCenter.  These include features that cut energy use by up to 20%, and cut production times by up to 30%, compared to previous models.

A key feature of equipment in the kitchen of the future will be ease of use.  Rational has taken a dynamic approach to this by developing a control panel that actually learns how each chef works, and adjusts itself to suit individual habits.  Meanwhile the ‘MyDisplay’ feature allows the control panel to be tailored to suit the skill level of the user.  For example, any functions that are not needed can easily be removed from the display interface, keeping controls simple and eliminating operator error, even with untrained staff.
