Sexing Up The Dishwasher: Winterhalter launches designer fascias for new UC back bar machines

Design front 'Aquarium' from Winterhalter's UC Series Hotelympia 2010 New Product Alert

Stand N1920, London ExCeL, 28 Feb – 4 March 2010

Winterhalter’s new UC Series of undercounter dish and glasswashers have set the standard in terms of ease of operation, quality washing results, ease of maintenance, and low running costs. At Hotelympia 2010 they’ll be setting the standard in terms of good looks, too.

On stand N1920 Winterhalter will unveil new fascias for the UC Series that offer stylish and attractive alternatives to the traditional stainless steel door. The designs include ‘Aquarium’, which shows tropical fish, and ‘Chorale’, with a quirky musical motif.

“The new fascias are very upmarket and are designed to complement a bar’s décor or theme,” explains Paul Crowley, marketing manager at Winterhalter UK. “As well as being beautiful they are practical – their wipe clean surface is robust and easy to maintain, and they won’t show fingerprints and marks in the way ordinary stainless steel does.”

Currently there are four designs. Alongside ‘Aquarium’ and ‘Chorale’ are ‘Storm’, with its atmospheric seascape, and ‘Mosaic’, an abstract based around sparkling tiles. All will be on display on the Winterhalter stand.

The new UC machines are available in four different sizes, small, medium, large and extra large, and four different configurations, one each for dishes, glasses and cutlery or utensils, plus the multi-purpose bistro version, which can wash glasses and dishes at the same time. The glasswashers can process up to 48 racks per hour, with racks ranging in size from 400x400mm in the small model to 500x540mm in the extra large. The dishwashers and Bistro machines handle up to 40 racks per hour, the cutlery or utensils washers up to 11.

The UC Series is part of Winterhalter’s IRT (Intelligent Resource Technology) project, aimed at reducing the consumption of water, power and chemicals in warewashing. The machines are available through authorised dealers.

Winterhalter provides a total solution for warewashing, from pre-sales advice to after-sales service, training and maintenance. Alongside its market-leading dish and glasswashers, the company’s range includes utensil washers, advanced water treatment machines, cleaning chemicals and detergents.
