13 – 16 January 2010, Olympia, London – Stand E128

ParentCall: no more school letters scrunched up in backpacks and pockets!

ParentCall from CST Keeping parents ‘in the loop’ is an increasingly vital task for schools and colleges. At BETT 2010 Call-Systems Technology (CST) will launch ParentCall, a new system that makes it easier to keep in contact with parents, and ensures important messages don’t get left in backpacks and pockets.

Meanwhile CST’s subsidiary specialising in security products, SST (Security-Systems Technology), will spotlight the latest technologies for safety and protection in schools, colleges and universities.

Better communication is one of the most effective ways to involve parents and keep them onside. ParentCall is an online web-based solution that delivers messages by email, text to mobile phones or text to voice on landlines. It works quickly, securely and efficiently, ensuring that the message is delivered to the right person at the right time. ParentCall also allows the parent to reply to the message via email or text, keeping both the parent and teacher in contact at all times.

Full details of the new ParentCall will be unveiled at BETT 2010, where visitors will be able to catch a first glimpse of the system and sign up for a trial service.

Also on show is CST’s Genesis intelligent software and alarm monitoring solution. This is a smart package that integrates all on-site communications, including phones, pagers, mobiles, DECT handsets and two-way radios. It provides the vital link between front office, faculty, teaching staff, first aiders, maintenance and any other services. By improving communications the system’s intelligent software enhances safety for staff and students alike.

CST will also show a selection from its portfolio of communications products for education, including two-way radios, DECT phones and pager systems.

School Security

All educational establishments are concerned about safety and security. Security-Systems Technology has developed CCTVs with video analytics that are capable of recognising unusual behaviour patterns, automatically alerting staff to dangers or impending crises. The company’s IP cameras can transmit data and images over the Internet, for remote monitoring.

SST also offers a variety of access control solutions including biometrics and the ‘virtual turnstile’, which controls access without the need for a physical barrier.
