EC regulation 852/2005 classifies ice as a food: Winterhalter’s new Sanitizer is certified to prevent the build-up of scale and damp mould that can cause ice contamination. It can be used both to sanitize the machine’s production mechanism, by flushing through, and the ice storage bin, which should be cleaned manually. The Sanitizer is suitable for all makes and models of machine – procedures will vary, so operators should follow the manufacturer’s cleaning instructions.
