No ‘best blog’ in Caterersearch website awards

Caterer & Hotelkeeper, has launched the Caterersearch Hospitality Awards, to identify and honour the best websites in the hospitality industry.

I’m disappointed to see they don’t have a category for Best Blog.  My nomination would probably be

    Aidan Brooks: Trainee Chef

Barely out of his teens, this guy not only works in great kitchens, not only knows about food, but write well too!  When I first stumbled on the blog, early last year, I thought it was a ‘front’ for a company, so carefully written, knowledgeable, so literate, so intelligent is it.

If there’s one weakness, it’s that his posts are too long to read quickly.  They are more like articles.  But then, he’s a working chef, so he probably hasn’t got time to write shorter ones. Here’s his CV (pdf).
