Greenvale AP strengthens its Board

Greenvale AP Ltd, the UK’s leading supplier of potatoes, strengthens its board with the appointments of a new Financial Director and a Procurement and Seed Director.

29 July 2008

The newly appointed Financial Director, Brian Macdonald, joins Greenvale AP having spent the last 25 years working for Scottish and Newcastle plc. While there he gained considerable experience in a number of different roles within the organisation, initially covering its UK trading and production businesses. Most recently his responsibilities moved overseas, as S&N plc expanded internationally. Brian is also joining the board of Produce Investments Ltd, Greenvale AP’s parent company.

David Rankin, General Manager of Seed at Burrelton, has been promoted to the position of Procurement and Seed Director. Having worked for the group for 14 years, David has held a number of positions within technical, procurement and senior management.

In an internal move, Trevor Dear assumes the role of Operations Director whilst continuing with his existing commercial responsibilities. Having worked for the company for 25 years, Trevor has a background in operations and he has been a key driver behind many of the operational advances made by Greenvale over the years.

Tony Bambridge, a highly-respected potato grower from Norfolk and a long-standing Director of Greenvale AP, has resumed the position of non-executive Chairman.

The Greenvale AP Board members are: Tony Bambridge, Chairman; Angus Armstrong, Chief Executive; Brian Macdonald, Finance Director; Trevor Dear, Operations Director; Paul Coleman, Technical Director; David Rankin, Procurement and Seed Director; and Edward Davies, Processing Director.
