Williams installs massive solar energy system

New system will cut CO2 emissions by 297 tonnes per year Kings Lynn-based refrigeration manufacturer Williams has had a massive photovoltaic solar panel system installed across two of its factory’s roofs.  The system, comprising 2,298 panels, is one of the largest rooftop installations in Europe.  The solar panels are expected to generate 496,000kWh of electricity per year, reducing the company’s annual CO2 emissions by 297 tonnes while cutting energy costs dramatically.

Aylsham Ahoy! Join in ‘Dazzling’ arts project that will set town alight AND afloat…

Spectacular installation on medieval fish-ponds will be a highlight of Aylsham Festival – everyone can sponsor a lantern featuring their own home or office we are! An inspirational art project in Aylsham is calling on local people to sponsor a lantern and get their property in the frame – or in the pond! ‘Aylsham Afloat’ will culminate in an exhibition and a spectacular display of floating lanterns, featuring pictures of Aylsham properties drawn by local people, on the medieval fish ponds in the gardens of Burgh House, during this year’s Aylsham Wide Sky Festival (22nd - 26th May).

Employees clock up 260 years at Williams Refrigeration

Williams – the company that no-one wants to leave Williams Refrigeration in King’s Lynn recognises the outstanding contribution its loyal employees have made to its success in a special Long Service Award Lunch on Tuesday 3rd September at the company’s showroom. Dave Britton, John Freestone, Domonic Mace, Mark Rippon, Ray Woodhouse and Keith Panks have each been at Williams for 30 years, while Steve Bradbury, Angela Mowles, Carl Muffett and Lee Parkin have run up 20 years apiece.
