The Carbon Trust has added Precision models to the Energy Technology List (ETL). The move underlines the energy efficiency of the British manufacturer’s products and means that buyers can now benefit from substantial incentives, under the Enhanced Capital Allowance scheme, when purchasing Precision refrigeration cabinets from the list. Variable temperature cabinets (VTCs) can switch from refrigerator to freezer, or vice versa, allowing caterers to adjust their refrigeration to match changing needs – for example, to allow for seasonal ingredients. However, until now there’s been very little choice and the VTCs available have been expensive.
