CFSP accredited to Level 4 by Thames Valley University   The Certified Food Service Professional (CFSP) programme has achieved accreditation by Thames Valley University. CFSP is the specialist qualification developed by CESA, the Catering Equipment Suppliers Association. Its objective is to raise the levels of professionalism throughout foodservice sector, by giving both catering operators and suppliers a better understanding of their industry. Birmingham NEC, 24-26 January 2011 The CESA Innovation Zone is a new initiative developed by CESA in conjunction with the Hospitality Show organisers, FreshRM. It is designed to help visitors find out about the latest and most original ideas on the market. “The key aspect of the zone will be simplicity: booths are limited in size and exhibitors will show just one or two products, which must be innovative,” explains Mick Shaddock, chair of CESA.

Simon Hulstone prepares for Bocuse d’Or as part of winning team at Culinary World Cup Simon Hulstone, chef owner of The Elephant Restaurant, Torquay, was part of the English National Culinary Team that won Gold at the Culinary World Cup in Luxembourg, November 22-24. Next stop for the Michelin-starred chef is ‘the big one’: he heads Team UK at the Bocuse d’Or in Lyon in January 2011.
