Get the timing right

FEM introduces easy to program, simple-to-use Prince Castle Display Timers

So many tasks in the kitchen need to be timed and monitored, from frying, grilling and prep tasks to routine maintenance operations.  FEM (Foodservice Equipment Marketing) has introduced Prince Castle’s new 741-Series Single Function Timers, 741-Series Multi-Display Timers and the 755-Series Multi-Display Timers to help manage these tasks easily, improve food safety and maintain proper product consistency and quality.

The 741-Series Single Function Timers are simple-to-use and countdown in either hours and minutes or minutes and seconds.  There are four, eight and twelve channel versions available, with up and down scan buttons making each channel easy to program.  Each channel is activated with a push of a button while a digital display shows the active channel.  Multi-coloured LED channel indicators show the status of the timing cycle and provide early warnings as the countdown expires.  The two-tone alarm is adjustable for either high or low sound levels.  Their slim, lightweight, space-saving design, mounting brackets and 3m lead give flexibility for convenient mounting.  Each channel can be used simultaneously with changeable menu labels to identify the product being timed.  Each timer in the series is 101mm high by 60mm deep with varying widths of 226mm, 265mm and 328mm respectively.

Next up is the 741-Series Multi-Display Timers available with either four or eight channels.  These easy-to-use timers also count down in minutes and seconds, or hours and minutes.  Each channel is single function but has its own display, and can be programmed independently.  Individual menu stickers identify the product being timed on each channel and are replaceable as restaurant menus change.  The sleek vertical design allows the timers to be mounted anywhere in the kitchen, buffet or dining area.  The push of a button activates each channel; an audible alarm and flashing channel button, alert the operator when timing is complete.  These timers also have a manual alarm shut-off function to further simply timing procedures.  Both timers are 106mm wide by 60mm deep, but have heights of 215mm for the four channel and 301mm for the eight channel.

Finally, the more advanced 755 Series Multi-Display Timer with sixteen channels is ideal for busier kitchens where more complex timing is required.  An easy-to-use timer counts down or up in minutes and seconds, or hours and minutes.  Each channel has its own display, and can be programmed independently, displaying both alpha and numeric characters.  Slide in replaceable menu strips identify the product being timed on each channel.  The push of a button activates each channel; an audible alarm and flashing channel button, alert the operator when timing is complete.  Operators also have the option to program a preliminary alarm to warn when the end of the timing cycle is near.  This advanced timer toggles between countdown (or count-up) time and duty function with each channel capable of sorting two different programs.  It also has eight programmable volume levels with its transformer built into the housing – meaning no bulky plugs.  It measures 459mm wide by 72mm deep with a top-mount height of 179mm and a bottom-mount height of 214mm.

All timers are covered by a one-year parts and labour warranty.
