It’s a crush: Rio blender makes waves

FEM’s Hamilton Beach Commercial Rio blender makes crushed ice in 15 seconds

If drinks are the order of the day, then a blender is the machine of the moment. No establishment serving alcoholic and/or non-alcoholic drinks is complete without a reliable blender. FEM (Foodservice Equipment Marketing) now supplies the upgraded, re-engineered and redesigned Hamilton Beach Commercial Rio bar blender, which makes short work of crushing ice, fruit, or whatever is needed to produce a wide variety of drinks.

The Rio blender’s powerful 1.6 HP motor drives four high-performance, stainless steel cutting and mixing blades that produce crushed ice in just 15 seconds. A durable all-metal drive coupling delivers ample power and torque to the blades. The Rio’s special wave-action system continually forces the mixture down into the blades for smooth results in cocktails, mocktails, smoothies and other blended concoctions.

Simple high, low or pulse controls allow for easy operation while the new wide, square jar accommodates larger ingredients, reducing prep time significantly. A triple-sealed leak-resistant lid ensures no product is spilt and wasted. For safety and ease of use a lid open and jar pad sensor prevents blending if the jar or lid is not correctly in place, a protective brow directs drips away from the controls, and SureGrip feet hold the blender securely in place during operation.

The Rio blender is available with either a clear stackable 1.4 litre co-polyester container that minimises storage space and is BPA-free, or a 0.95 litre durable stainless steel stackable jug. Both versions have a footprint of 190 x 216mm, the overall height of the co-polyester jug is 410mm with the stainless steel jug having a slightly taller height of 430mm.
