Moffat appoints two directors

Campbell and Hair bring wealth of experience, knowledge and expertise to the board

Moffat has appointed two of its longest serving employees to the board. Sinclair Campbell, who has been with the company for 42 years, is promoted from General Manager to Director. At the same time, David Hair, who has been with the company for 38 years, becomes Works Director, having previously been Works Manager.

Campbell has carried out both sales and commercial roles at Moffat. His experience in both internal and external sales has gained him a wealth of customer, product and market knowledge. His commercial background gives him a special insight into the day-to-day management of the business.

Hair has held the position of Works Manager for three years and has been instrumental in implementing Moffat’s new ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) system. He has unrivalled knowledge of the company’s manufacturing processes, production capabilities and customer needs.

Managing Director William Moffat welcomed the two to the board. “Of course we know Sinclair and David very well,” he says. “They bring very different and complementary capabilities to the board. Their commitment, loyalty and dedication to the company has been significant over many years, and in particular this year where we’ve been faced with the most challenging and difficult times, brought on by the pandemic.  The experience and knowledge they both have will be hugely beneficial as we move Moffat forward in these competitive and complex market conditions.”

The two directors will be working closely with Kal Kalsi, who joined Moffat as Senior Sales Manager last year. Moffat says, “We are working on a series of exciting equipment launches including our Quantum meal delivery range and the new Versicarte Pro, and we are considering some highly innovative products for the bar and restaurant sectors.”

This is a busy time for Moffat. The company has recently upgraded its factory and offices and is in the process of opening a new training facility in Stoke-on-Trent. “The success of these projects and our New Product Development programme depends on the hard work and dedication of everyone at the company, with a strong board and management team leading the way,” says Moffat.
