Rational talks iKitchen at TUCO

Market leader highlights latest kitchen concept

Stand 141, TUCO Conference, University of York, July 29-31 2019

iKitchen is the latest concept from Rational and it will be highlighted on stand 141 at the TUCO 2019 Conference.

University kitchens need to be flexible in order to cope with a variety of different catering requirements, from student meals to high-end banquets.  They need to be efficient, consistent and, increasingly, they need to be sustainable.  iKitchen helps achieve all these objectives.

iKitchen is Rational’s total cooking solution consisting of the VarioCookingCenter, SelfCookingCenter, and ConnectedCooking.  iKitchen adapts to the size of a kitchen and makes it more productive. The two multifunctional appliances complement each other in their cooking methods, sharing some of the workload and, together, providing an incredibly flexible solution. With Rational’s ConnectedCooking, the kitchen turns digital, managing and transferring cooking programs, accessing HACCP data and much more, remotely, via PC, tablet or mobile.

On stand 141 Rational will show the VarioCookingCenter 112T, a compact, twin pan unit that can perform all the functions of traditional appliances such as fryers, ranges and bratt pans.  Alongside it will be the SelfCookingCenter 101, a ten-grid counter top version of the market’s leading combination oven.  Rational’s ConnectedCooking allows users to link their Rational appliances to a network, and monitor operation over the internet. Caterers can check on overnight cooking processes and upload recipes from home, managers can check on operational efficiency of multiple units, maintenance engineers can check a unit’s status. Connectivity will make kitchens safer and more efficient, and make managing equipment simpler.
