Rational connecting kitchens at LACA 2018

Multifunctional appliances and innovative technology are the perfect combination for education expo

Stand M74, The LACA Main Event, 11th-13th July 2018, the Hilton Birmingham Metropole

Rational is looking forward to welcoming some of the education sector’s finest to its stand at the LACA Main Event 2018. The company will showcase its market leading appliances, the VarioCookingCenter and SelfCookingCenter, alongside its ConnectedCooking technology.

The VarioCookingCenter is the ideal multi-functional kitchen unit. It combines the ability to boil, deep fry, confit and fry, and can replace fryers, large pots, kettles and griddles in one device. On stand M74, Rational will be presenting the 211+, which also offers the option of pressure cooking.

The SelfCookingCenter is Rational’s market-leading combi oven. The latest version has made it even more straightforward to prepare food perfectly by learning how the chef likes to cook. It is the ideal kitchen assistant, maximising space and giving staff the ability to achieve great results at the touch of a button. The ten grid SelfCookingCenter 101, which can cook 80-150 meals a day, will be on the stand.

Researchers at Zurich University found that, by switching from conventional appliances to the latest Rational VarioCookingCenter and SelfCookingCenter, a kitchen reduced energy consumption by 34% and water consumption by 53%.  Moreover, the new kitchen appliances were able to produce more food from less space.

The connected kitchen is the future – that’s why Rational now offers ConnectedCooking 2.0. This allows operators to link their Rational SelfCookingCenters and VarioCookingCenters to a network, and monitor operation over the internet. Caterers can check on overnight cooking processes from home, managers can check on operational efficiency of multiple units, maintenance engineers can check a unit’s status. Connectivity will make kitchens safer and more efficient, and make managing equipment simpler.

On the stand, Rational experts will be on hand to discuss how the company’s advanced cooking appliances can enhance foodservice operations in schools.
