Leading UK warewasher expert joins Hubbard Systems

After Hobart and Dawson, Mellor looks forward to building the Comenda brand

One of the catering equipment industry’s most experienced dishwasher specialists, Jonathan Mellor, has joined Hubbard Systems as Technical Sales Manager responsible for the Comenda brand.  Mellor has twenty years’ experience in commercial dishwashing, working with Hobart and Dawson MMP.

The move follows Hubbard Systems’ appointment as UK distributor of the Comenda brand by The Ali Group.  “We aim to offer the same level of customer support for Comenda as we do for Scotsman icemakers,” says Simon Aspin, commercial director of Hubbard Systems.  “That means recruiting the top experts in the industry – and Jonathan certainly fits the bill.”

Mellor is relishing his new role.  “Hubbard Systems is established and forward-thinking,” he says.  “The company has the infrastructure to deliver excellent customer support and to move the Comenda brand back to the position in the market it once enjoyed.

“I’ve spent the last two years working with the Comenda factory in Milan and I know the brand’s plans – the future looks very bright, and we will have big opportunities to grow the business in the catering industry.

“I look forward to catching up with old acquaintances and making many new ones.”

Mellor will work primarily on sales of rack and flight dishwashers, as well as utensil washers, assisting in the design and technical specification of large warewashing schemes.

Outside of work, Mellor enjoys golfing, skiing and supporting Leeds United FC.  He is married with two grown-up children.
