GulfHost and Host: Williams unveils new refrigeration products

British manufacturer also reveals latest ‘small kitchen’ models

Williams will be showing its latest product line at both GulfHost Dubai and Host Milan.  The two shows will also see the global launch of an exciting new product – details of which will be unveiled on stand.

GulfHost has taken over from GulFood as the major catering equipment show for the Middle East region and is at the Dubai World Trade Centre, 18th – 20th September 2017.  Williams will be on stand SB 39.

Meanwhile, Host 2017 will once again take place at Fieramilano, Milan, 20th – 24th October 2017.  It is Europe’s leading catering equipment show and Williams will be on stand L37.

All the refrigeration on the Williams stands at both shows is either new or has been extensively redesigned since July 2016, when MEPS (minimum energy performance standard) came into effect in the EU.  “The new and redesigned models are part of our Refrigeration for the Real World initiative,” says Martin Laws, marketing manager of Williams.  “While they have multiple energy-saving features, we also took the opportunity to examine and, where possible, upgrade areas like robustness, temperature control and ease of use.”

Much of the Williams stands will be devoted to compact equipment.  “The shrinking kitchen is a global phenomenon,” says Laws.  “Everywhere operators are looking to get more output from a smaller space.  That’s why we developed our Small Kitchens range – it features slimline designs, with all the features of the standard sized models, but in a compact footprint.”

Typical of the latest Small Kitchens products is the CPC2, a compact version of Williams’ market-leading Onyx prep station.  The Onyx CPC2 comprises a two-door, 355 litre storage counter with four GN 1/1 shelves.  The top mounted wells can hold up to four 1/3 Gastronorm pans.    The new unit measures just 955mm wide.  A critical aspect of prep stations with ingredients wells is maintaining the chill in the pans.  In the CPC2, the internal airflow plus an air curtain over the wells ensure absolute temperature control.  Its high performance refrigeration system means it can operate safely in ambients as high as 43°C.

Other Small Kitchen products on show will include HJ400U Jade Slimline single-door cabinet, the HJSC3 Jade Slimline three-door counter, and the space-saving LAZ10CT Aztra undercounter freezer cabinet with innovative new drawer system.

Also launching at the two shows is Williams ‘greenest’ ever range of grab & go Multideck display units. The model on the stand will have natural R290 refrigerant, improved panoramic ends to maximise the total display area, new EC fans for improved efficiency, LED strip lighting and sliding front doors.  These energy-saving features, which are fitted as standard, offer substantial reductions in power consumption compared to traditional models.

A selection of other Williams models will also be on show.  In addition, sister company Falcon will share the stands at both GulfHost and Host Milan, showing its market-leading prime cooking appliances.  A third AFE Group company, Mono Equipment, which specialises in bakery equipment, joins the stand for GulfHost.
