Moffat’s ambitions are matched by new operations manager

Steve Dillon set to play critical role at British catering equipment manufacturerSteve Dillon of Moffat

Steve Dillon is the new operations manager at E&R Moffat, the leading British catering equipment manufacturer. Steve has extensive experience in manufacturing, having worked with Jones and Campbell, Falcon and, most recently, Peak Scientific. His role will see him employing lean manufacturing techniques to enhance customer service, including delivery times.

“This is a fantastic opportunity for me to help a good company, with quality products, become great,” he says. “I’ve developed lean manufacturing systems in previous roles and proved how well they can work. I’m really looking forward to the task ahead.”

Steve is already working with the Scottish Manufacturing Advisory Service to maximise the impact of his work at Moffat – including the development of schemes that will benefit the company’s new product development program.

“It’s very exciting to be part of a company that is building for the future and is not afraid to embrace change and challenge,” says Steve. “The more so since everyone is committed to the cause, from the management to the shop floor.”

“We are delighted to have attracted a man of Steve’s calibre, motivation and expertise,” says Gordon McIntosh, managing director of Moffat. “We have ambitious plans for the future and Steve will play a critical part in realising them.”

Steve is a local Falkirk man. Outside of work he enjoys providing a taxi service for his two children.
