Flexible counter drop-ins: good lookers making good design sense

Moffat’s drop-in displays for service of hot or cold food

A Moffat drop-in unitAs well as preserving food quality, display units in serving areas need to look smart and show food at its best to encourage customer take-up. Moffat has covered all these issues with its Deluxe range of drop-in food serveries. The individual units are delivered ready to drop into shop-fitted service counters, custom-built breakfast bars or buffets.

The Deluxe range includes both chilled and heated units: a bains marie with enviro well, hot top displays, a chilled well and chilled displays. All are designed to add style and visual appeal to the service area with curved corners, bright polished stainless steel supports and gantries, and internal illumination.

The gantry supports are offset, creating an unobstructed serving area. Elliptical sneeze guards protect the food while adding to the overall design. Controls are conveniently positioned at eye level within the gantry hood. This makes installation easier as there is no need to fit a separate control box.

The design flexibility of the drop-in units enables caterers to develop a customised solution for their specific requirements and layout to provide a foodservice operation that works efficiently. Moffat’s drop-in units can also be changed, for example a hot unit can replace a cold one, so that the counter can be adapted if necessary.

Prices start at £986 for the D2HTG, a drop-in hot top with gantry.
