British manufacturer ups energy efficiency stakes at Host

Precision shows Eco A*-rated upright cabinets

Stand N12/P13, Hall 2, Host 2015, October 23-27, Fieramilano, Italy

British refrigeration manufacturer Precision launches a variety of Precision's new 'superefficient' upright cabinet PT602new models at Host in Milan, pushing the boundaries of energy efficiency with what the company describes as ‘superefficient’ upright cabinets. Reflecting the company’s rapidly increasing export sales, also on show are units designed specifically for overseas markets – such as the bright red ‘tropicalized’ bottle coolers, designed to operate in high ambient temperatures.

Green refrigeration continues to be a focus for buyers and consultants, and with its latest upright gastronorm cabinets Precision is looking to set new benchmarks. Under draft EUP Eco Design Directive tests, the cabinets (models MPT and LPT) achieve at least A* ratings. Energy-saving features include market-leading Danfoss inverter drive compressors, hydrocarbon refrigerant and low-energy fan technology. Improvements in insulation and interior airflow patterns make the cabinets superefficient – they even perform well in rooms with low ceiling heights, without over-heating, which can be a major problem for conventional refrigeration models.

New counters using the same energy-saving features will also be on display.

Another stand highlight is Precision’s ‘go anywhere’ blast chiller freezer. This 40kg model uses new control technology to reduce the amount of power needed, meaning it can operate from a standard electric power supply – so even kitchens with restricted power supplies can blast chill and freeze safely.
