Ready, steady, serve

Call Systems Technology’s WaiterCall makes sure diners get food straight from the passCST's new WaiterCall

The essence of good restaurant service is to make sure diners get what they want, when they want it and how they want it. Call Systems Technology’s new WaiterCall paging system keeps waiters, chefs and managers in constant communication so they can work more efficiently to make this happen.

WaiterCall consists of small pagers worn by waiting staff and a transmitter sited in the kitchen or pass area.  When an order is ready waiters are paged so they can return to collect the food and serve it quickly, in perfect condition to the diner.

With WaiterCall staff can spend more time with guests, only returning to pick up orders when necessary. WaiterCall is suitable for both large and small restaurants as it comes with a variety of transmitter and pager choices to fit any budget.

The kitchen transmitter is available in 12 or 24 button versions and is built to withstand hot busy commercial kitchen environments.  Names of waiting staff and their corresponding pager number can be written on the panel with dry-erase markers at the beginning of each shift. Tri-colour LEDs clearly show the service alerts and four additional pager buttons allow instant communication with floor managers.

The system features an auto recall function, which automatically pages the server up to three times. If the third page is unanswered WaiterCall alerts the manager to provide further assistance.  Through an ‘all-page’ function the entire waiting staff can be paged simultaneously. To avoid confusion a unique system ID prevents interference from neighbouring paging systems.

A six or 12 position smart pager charger extends the life of the pager batteries without overcharging. Recharging takes two hours and the battery life is 3-5 years.

The WaiterCall system comprises the 12 or 24 button transmitter, waiter pagers and a 6 or 12 position charger. There is also the option of an alphanumeric pager offering short text messages.
