Non-standard refrigeration for non-standard venues: The 520 Series from Precision Refrigeration

Not all kitchens are standard so refrigeration equipment needs to reflect that. British manufacturer Precision Refrigeration’s 520 Series of counter refrigerators are perfect for confined areas and galley-style kitchens. The 520 Series is now also available as a variable temperature unit, that can switch between chilled or freezer storage.

The 520 Series’ narrower cabinets, measuring just 520mm deep, are ideal for non-standard kitchens where space is at a premium. Despite their size, the counters pack a powerful performance that’s strong on reliability.

The shallow depth, all stainless steel 520 Series counters provide caterers with flexible refrigerated storage options for Gastronorm 2/3 sized shelves, pans or trays. The range is available in standard refrigerator (-2 to +4°C) and meat and freezer (-18 to -22°C) versions, as well as the new variable temperature units.

The 520 Series counters can be built-in to very tight spaces as the ‘Easy Breathing’ condensing unit draws and vents through the front panel, meaning little space is required to the side and back of the unit.  Defrost is automatic and Precision’s energy saving waste heat recovery vaporiser system eliminates the need for a drain.

Precision’s intelligent iCool electronic controller provides accurate temperature control and peace of mind 24 hours a day, automatically minimising power consumption, monitoring operation and triggering alarms if there are any problems.

Like all Precision refrigeration, the 520 Series counters are manufactured in robust stainless steel throughout to ensure long-life and easy cleaning.  The 520 is available in 2-, 3- or 4-door configuration, and a variety of options, including drawer systems, chilled wells or pass-through facility, for added flexibility.

The counters can be supplied with numerous worktop options or even no worktop at all, as optional pan cut outs, heated gantries, refrigerated pan grids and upstands can be added instead. Which means the 520 Series can be tailored to suit the venue.
