CESA members support UK’s biggest Skills and Careers Event

Become a sponsor of The Skills Show and support the foodservice industry

Five CESA members are already signed up for the UK’s biggest skills and careers event, The Skills Show.  This annual celebration is designed to inspire the restaurant managers, chefs and designers of tomorrow with exciting opportunities in further education, skills and apprenticeships.

The Skills Show will be running a Hospitality Section that will involve a working restaurant, a cooking demo area, a competition featuring the best of the UK’s young chefs, and a Have a Go activity to encourage visitors to consider entering the foodservice industry.

Held in a space the size of 9 football pitches, and attracting tens of thousands of visitors, The Skills Show offers sponsors the opportunity to promote their products, services and brands, raising the profile of their company and the foodservice industry.

Sponsorship opportunities include providing equipment and materials for use in the skills competitions through a value-in-kind (VIK) agreement; providing wider financial support; running an official Have a Go; or sponsoring an award.

“This is a wonderful way to gain valuable marketing benefits while lending your support to the UK’s biggest national skills and careers event,” says Keith Warren, director of CESA.

2012 sees the launch of a joint initiative between The Skills Show and the Skills Funding Agency. This is a unique sales opportunity for sponsors, whereby approved further education colleges and learning providers can purchase state-of-the art equipment used by competitors at The Skills Show.

The Hospitality sponsors to date are: Adande, Corsair Engineering, Die Pat, MCS Tech Products and Standex Food Services Equipment, who are all CESA members, and Tom Chandley Ovens.

The Skills Show is seeking sponsors to provide induction griddles, induction pans, service china, pasta machines, microwaves, and many more workshop items.
