CST launches new phone, pager, radio and personal alarm ‘all-in-one’ device

Stand S1936, Hotelympia, ExCeL London, 26 Feb – 1 Mar 2012

Call Systems Technology (CST) launches its new C-3110 DECT phone handset at Hotelympia 2012.  This stylish, multi-tasking communications device is designed to meet the needs of the hospitality industry, offering crystal-clear voice plus text and critical alarm messaging.  It also helps protect lone workers with a position locator and a panic button that activates a central alarm.

The C-3110 is designed for hotels, big restaurants, leisure complexes and other sites where continuous, reliable communications are essential.  Thanks to its multi-tasking capabilities – it combines the functions of a phone, pager, radio and personal alarm – staff only need carry one communications device instead of several.  The combination of digital audio and the large colour screen, which also features easy-to-understand graphics, ensures all messages, whether voice or text, are always delivered clearly and instantly.

The handset’s robust design is drop-tested and water and dust resistant, in compliance with IP65 classification.  It is also resistant to commonly used cleaning chemicals and is backed by a three-year warranty.

“The panic button and positioning feature are important safety features, especially for sites where staff might be working alone,” says Bruce McNair, sales director at CST.  “In critical situations, they mean help can be sent quickly to wherever it is needed, even if the person using the handset is incapacitated.”

The C-3110 can be used with CST’s Genesis software, a messaging platform that also monitors alarms.  Genesis can automatically send messages to all sorts of devices, including pagers and smartphones, by email, SMS and voice.  With the C-3110, in the event of a fire or other important alarm being triggered, Genesis can instantly send the handset a voice message supported by a text message detailing the location and nature of the alarm.

“90% of CST’s hotel installations involve linking communications devices to critical alarms, such as fire, disability, panic, pool and exit alarms,” says Bruce McNair.  “By integrating communications, the C-3110 and Genesis software deliver a simple to use, effective solution that enhances safety and customer service.”

Alongside its new product launches, CST will show a selection from its market-leading range of communications systems for the hospitality sector.  These include its award-winning Call pagers including WaiterCall, which links waiting staff to the kitchen to speed up food service and improve food quality, and CustomerCall, which allows busy sites to manage queues effectively.
