The Ice-O-Matic ICEF155 self-contained flake ice machine from Classeq is suitable for sites that have mixed requirements – needing ice for display purposes, mixing into drinks and icing down bottled beverages. With an output of 70kg of flaked ice per 24 hours, it produces a consistent supply of high quality, soft, chewable flake ice.

Flake ice’s flat thin shape and large surface area gives it extremely quick cooling properties. Because it mixes well with liquids it is a fast way of making slushies, smoothies and other soft drinks without using a blender.

Built for heavy duty, the ICEF155 has a rugged one-piece, stainless-steel construction and a built-in, 25kg capacity storage bin. Measuring only 535mm wide x 796mm high and with a front- venting air intake and exhaust, the ICEF155 can fit into tight spaces which previously may have been thought unsuitable for installing an ice machine.

All Ice-O-Matic ice makers feature AgION internal antimicrobial coatings to improve hygiene and prevent the build-up of harmful bacteria. This keeps the ice tasting fresh and pure, ensuring it is suitable for use in drinks.  

For a simple, refreshing non-alcoholic drink with a bit of a sparkle, Classeq suggests scooping a generous quantity of flaked ice into a tall glass, pouring over freshly-squeezed orange juice and adding tonic before stirring gently. Decorate the glass with slices of orange or lemon, add a swizzle stick and serve.
