It’s official: British manufacturer Precision delivers energy-efficient refrigeration

Upright cabinet from Precision The Carbon Trust has added Precision models to the Energy Technology List (ETL). The move underlines the energy efficiency of the British manufacturer’s products and means that buyers can now benefit from substantial incentives, under the Enhanced Capital Allowance scheme, when purchasing Precision refrigeration cabinets from the list.

The first two Precision cabinets to join the ETL are the company’s 600 litre, single door upright gastronorm cabinets, the MPT 601 and MPT 602. They offer a choice of gastronorm configurations, with the door on either the narrow (601) or wide (602) side.

Precision’s energy efficiency is enhanced by a variety of features including the manufacturer’s iCool intelligent controller, which minimises energy consumption whilst protecting and extending the life of the refrigeration system’s components.

Precision is also a more sustainable choice: all its models are made from stainless steel throughout, for a longer service life, and its high-performance Envirofoam insulation is based on renewable vegetable oils rather than petrochemicals. It also claims to offer the best value for money in the quality refrigeration sector.

“Compared to companies like Foster and Williams we’re relative youngsters in commercial refrigeration,” says Precision’s managing director Nick Williams. “Getting such important official recognition for our energy efficiency credentials underlines just how far we’ve come in a short time. We’re absolutely delighted.”
