Moffat’s Chillogen Banqueting Trolleys straight from kitchen to table – no messing

Energy efficient multi-tasking Chillogen banquet trolley from Moffat There’s no getting away from the fact that Christmas is about the most stressful time in the catering calendar. Bookings are up and so should profits be – but it’s all too easy for these extra Christmas earnings to be taken up in employing more staff to cope with the rush. Space is squeezed as well so managers need to look for any equipment that promises to free-up space and time.

E & R Moffat’s Chillogen banqueting trolleys are space-saving options while also cutting down on the number of staff required during preparation for Christmas functions.

The Chillogen trolley rapid chills, holds and regenerates cooked food – fully automatically and all in the same compartment saving both staff time and space in the kitchen. The trolley makes it possible to cater for Christmas banquets and functions from even a modest kitchen. A single Chillogen unit can hold up to 90 ten-inch plates (with covers) on 15 shelves.

The Chillogen trolley saves on preparation costs by reducing or eliminating the need for specialist and separate chilling, holding and regeneration equipment. It also helps staff be more productive and efficient, especially by making it easier for chefs and banqueting managers to have separate functions running simultaneously.
To use the Chillogen banqueting trolleys, the chef pre-chills the trolley, loads the plated-up meals and sets the quick-chill mode to bring the food down to storage temperature (under 10 degrees C in 90 minutes). The trolley is then unplugged, wheeled to its required location and plugged in again. It holds the food at the required temperature for as long as required (or regulations allow) – up to several days if necessary. At a preset time it automatically turns into a regeneration oven and reheats to serving temperature in about one hour.

Designed for practicality and ease of use, the Chillogen trolley can be plugged in anywhere – it only requires two standard 13amp power sockets. Visit Moffat’s website to view the Chillogen video and see how simple it is to use.
