How hip is this? We had Radiohead in the office today.

Our leader’s increasingly desperate attempts to recapture his youth met stiff resistance last weekend when he failed in his bid to join the Flux Babes. The audition went horribly wrong as La Morgan yawned cavernously midway through a photo call, despite the brave lasses’ efforts to keep him stimulated… He shrugged off the debacle with the words: “Better luck next year.” The Flux Babes decided not to be available to comment.

Seth Godin has some great commentary today on ‘sloppy product naming‘.   And the larger you are, the more scope for ’sloppiness’.  

But when you are small, it doesn’t matter so much.  One of our clients right now is going through the difficulties of registering some product names. 

For a small business, the problems of which name, why and when, is sometimes as nothing compared to the laborious process of just getting patent and trademark authorities to recognise that you exist at all.  Until your product has a name of its own, it’s just generic.
